Territories
Where you could
open a centre
A territory is a defined set of postcode districts, typically covering 100,000 to 200,000 residents, and up to around 250,000 where the geography does not divide cleanly, mapped on Royal Mail and Ordnance Survey boundaries and written into Schedule 1 of your agreement. It is exclusive for the term. We will not open another Robocode there and we will not licence anyone else to.
How territories work
How exclusivity works
Exclusive for the five year term, conditional on meeting the performance standards in the agreement. Online and national channels stay with Robocode, but any enquiry we receive for in-person delivery inside your territory is passed to you and is your revenue.
If your city is taken
Tell us anyway. Adjacent territories are often available, and existing franchisees who hit sustained enrolment targets get first refusal on the territory next door, so the map moves. We will be straight with you about what is realistic where you are.
Outside the UK
International franchising and licensing are handled separately, with terms set per market. Licensing runs on annual tiers rather than a franchise fee. Go to partners.robocode.uk.
Register your
territory interest
Naming a city does not commit you to anything. It tells us where to look and lets us tell you quickly whether it is free.
